I'll be the last person to tell you that Intel sucks all around. But I'll be the first one to tell you that AMD is the performance leader at the moment.

Everyone Knows that Opteron is eating away market share on the server front like Pac-Man eats marbles and cherries. Athlon 64/X2 are clearly the desktop leaders in all but 1 or 2 benchmarks. Turion is a different story, but...

The lovely thing about this Low-Power war is that nobody took notice of AMD's HE and EE Opterons that they've had since introducing AMD64 in 2003. 55W and 35W TDP rating, respectively. K8 has been ready for the Intel's "NGMA" response for quite sometime. Expect some more backlash from AMD in 2007, because Intel might get the crown again, but it will be short lived.
