Contract labor
is the bigger of the two problems. If one works for Dell, then you have a stake in the company. If one works as contract labor who has Dell as one of several clients, your stake is only that you get as much call volume at the end of the day as you can - as that is what your company is selling.

The good news to all of this - this is what will slow down outsourcing of jobs - or (more likely) create new ones.
