Apple is blissful, not evil
Firstly, having a 64 bit processor in my computer wouldn't cause me any pain, especially when considering that AMD CPU's tend to be lower in price to their comparable cousins from Intel.

Second, Intel encouraged the use of RD-RAM for its P4 processors. I am one of those pundits to have gone for it after a failure with an AMD CPU. I have to say that according to performance tests, my 1.7 Ghz P4 with a matching 800 Mhz RD-RAM still lags behing a comparable system with AMD 1700+.

In the meanwhile, Intel doesn't clearly address the power consumption rate. As others have commented, "how do we know where AMD will be then?", addressing Intel's puported %20 perfomance gain.

But I agree with you on one point: What's the harm to having an Apple, too? happy Please send me your Apple at your earliest convenience, I want to testdrive it.
