Blah blah blah
The MCC, your "full PC" has no screen, keyboard, mouse, nothing. If you want those little extras, you have to buy a "shell". The "handheld" version hardly fits in the palm of your hand, it's 4.7" x 8.5" x 1.89". It has no keyboard and essentially replaces a tablet or "smart screen".

The Zaurus has everything you need in a "fully fledged PC", including a screen and keyboard.

The point is that ZDNet is claiming this is a wonderful XP machine that fits in the palm of your hand. Comments above attempt to portray Linux and OSS as being followers becuase, in their opinion, the Linux guys will release a similar product in response.

My point is that similar Linux-based devices already exist. Similar devices have existed for over 10 years - I was using DOS-based handhelds (they'd be called tablets these days) in 1989.

I haven't criticised Microsoft, Windows or even the device. I just commented that similar Linux-based devices exist and that rather than being a leader, these guys are following.
