So who cares ... I do!!
It is true that most companies will have no need for a 32 or 64 processor SMP system.

But for the companies that do, they will be saving alot of $$ with the 32 processor than a comparable performance system with 64 processors. Remember companies like Oracle and IBM charge per processor so again you save on the software side as well.
