No computer is going to become "aware" and fight against being turned off, either.

Besides, my generation did not invent computers so that business would run smoother, or science would advance faster. We invented computers so we could play video games. And you probably envisioned that paladin next to you being a pimply-faced teenager, didn't you? And probably assumed they were male . . .
