There should be no gateway
I once bought a hand held computer from Gateway, along with many very expensive accessories. It took two weeks to get the computer. It took 4 months to get the accessories. They did send me some accessories, but they were not mine. I contacted them to find out about how to send them back. They wanted my credit card number to get a RMA for their stuff, not mine. I quickly learned that I did not need the accessories because the computer would not work. If you put a battery in it, it would get hot, change shape and not make contact.

In the matter of the battery problem, they just said that they bought these from another company, and they did not know what to do about the problem. Mind you, the purchase price was $4385.79 for something hawked to be wonderful and would no work.

They agreed to take the computer back. It took 13 months to get my money back.

Gateway has been a company that should not exist. It needs to go away. They were and are worse than Packard Bell, and no body bought a second Packard Bell.

Gateway is a company without a culture of integrity or honesty. It is a shame that they screwed up the E Machines, but that is what they do.
