Ah, PC nostalgia. I remember calling the Gateway support line for my employer's PCs (386/486 mix) and entering the hold queue....for 2 days. We left the speaker phone on and muted just to see how long it would take them to answer.
If Ted Waitt is charismatic, I'm Clint Eastwood. He is and has always been annoying. The cutesy commercials did nothing to dissuade me.
I don't know if people remember the PC market in the mid 90s. Compaq & IBM were ungodly expensive and Dell wasn't really a player yet. HP had some spotty offerings.
