Patent Search
They are a CANADIAN company producing a CANADIAN product. The did the patent search and there was no Canadian or International patent. That was part of their original defence if you had followed the case. The U.S. appeals court is forcing a foreign company to comply with U.S. law just like China forces Google to comply with Chineese law. Normally a court allows for a work around. In this case the court allowed for the injunction to be delayed until the appeals are over and there was a compromise arranged. It is NTP that doesnt want to compromise and went back on the original deal because they realized they wanted to get twice as much money.
