Patent Holding Companies.
I agree with all that you say.
I will add that patents should not be tranferable,
The origional patent holder should be the only one to benifit from a patent.
This applies to Interlectual rights as well.
The Artist or writer should be the sole benifactor of these rights until they die or publicly offer the article up to open domain.
I stand for the rights of an inventor or an Artist
to profit from there property but not the right of transfer or sale.
If a company wants to profit from somebody else,s
hard work they should pay Royalties for the use of, as I am certain Blackberry will do in this case.
The record companies buy up the rights to origional works and so do Patent Holding Companies and this should not be allowed to happen.
Micheal Jackson owning the Beatles songs is a joke.
He did nothing with this music that would justify him being able to profit from them.
I ramble as usual but I hope I have made my point.

PS
I might see an arguement for the inventers/writers etc family having some rights to continued Royalty payments but not the right of sale or transfer.
