There's the difference
I respect your work... if you are working on developing your idea, then by all means, let's change the system to make it easier for you to protect that idea and give you adequate time to move the product/idea forward - that's how the US was built - with the little man.

However, that all being said, there are MANY cases of individuals or corporations who patent ideas and do nothing. I have no respect for them - Patent Holding Companies of this nature have no right to anything in my mind, and the system should be changed to protect the *real* little man like yourself, but pave the way for innovation so that companies and individuals are stiffled by Patent Holding Companies with no interest but to earn monies off of other's backs.
