Maybe the statement should have included some of the best, but the statement still holds water. UW has consistently ranked amongst the top in the world (with MIT, schools in Russia and China) for Math and CS... the rate at which it's graduates are hired and brought into this country is evidence of that.

I am not even a graduate of UW, but being in this industry for many years, working and living in the US with many top grads from prestigous US colleges I can tell you one thing, their grads consistently perform better.
