The only problem is, when you run a comercial app on Linux, the QT toolkit
is only a very small part of what you use. QT standing there with their hand out for the work of everybody involved with GNU, Linux, X.org, Gnome, is not right. It is not right for one company to have a toll booth to charge for the work of all. GTK will slowly over take QT, and already outshines QT with bindings for many more languages.

GTK also runs on Windows. I have installed for instance GIMP on Windows which requires GTK. Not sure about the state of GTK on Mac, but I know there are at least initial versions.

GTK and QT will cooexist for quite some time (maybe forever), but I see GTK slowly passing QT.

Why?  Anton Philidor | 02/07/06
If the GNOME group had the Linux desktop sewed up, they would not inovate  DonnieBoy | 02/07/06
