AMD Processors Now Use Less Power
Jose,

You apparently are working on ancient information.

I work in the processor power business and have access to specifications for both series of processors. Intel USED to use less power, but this hasn't been true since they started the megahertz wars. At this point in time, AMD processors use SIGNIFICANTLY less power in the desktop space. I can't comment on mobiles.

According to press reports, Intel is having significant leakage current problems with their 90nm process, so now Intel processors burn alot of power even when idle.

I use both Athlon and Pentium 4 processors; they both work fine. I don't have a dog in this fight, but want to set the record straight.

Please stick to posting things you know something about.
