My windows XP Pro computer @ home gets months of uptime
Really?
Haven't patched much have you?

Really, you shouldn't lie, especially about uptime. With the
weekly patches for MS OS you either haven't patched or
aren't connected to the internet at all.

Hey, my Mac has been up since I bought it in 1998! (except
that I shut it down every night).
