The place where I work has a contract to buy Dells. About one in six do not even work, right out of the box. And about one in four will fail completely within a few months. But they do get replaced fairly quickly (within a few days), because we buy a 3-year-contract with each one we purchase. Just because a lot are sold doesn't mean they are a good computer, just means the company has a good advertising campaign. At least they outsource their repair/warranty work to better groups than Comcast does.
