Have you seen VT?
Space ain't an issue. In fact, they could easily stick it up in the research park and take all the space they want. Those buildings are FAR from full. Heck, a year ago one building that could easily house a couple dozen small businesses only held a single three person company.

How is the Xserve going to be better than the G5 performance wise? They're more or less the same. Yes, you're right, they CAN use this super computer to make all sorts of amazing breakthroughs. I certainly hope they DO use it for that. But they could have used the G5 system to do the SAME breakthroughs. Wouldn't the money used to buy the Xserve systems be better spent makeing those models and getting to some of those breakthroughs? I can't see how they've gained anything by switching to the Xserve beyond a "hey, ain't that cool" factor.

I still see it as a waste of money.
