Although they may not be quite as shock-resistant as flash
cards, small disk drives are actually amazingly shock-resistant.

Small disk drives have a sustained write-speed that
probably far exceeds your flash card.

Small disk drives don't have the limited-write lifetime
that has caught up with more than one Flash user
who
accidentally tried to edit their files directly
on the
flash memory.

Disks ain't dead yet, although pundits pronounce them
dead just about every year.
