initial claims? whatever...
"Initial Claims is the weekly total of new claims filed for
unemployment compensation. The total is expected to drop
to 340,000 for the week ended Feb. 7, from 356,000 the
previous week"
-
initial unemployment claim stats is a week indicator of the
true unemployment rate. those who are no longer elligible
to apply and still unemployed are not accounted for as
being unemployed. had the fed'l gov't signed off on an
extension, the numbers would have been considerably
higher, yet still not accurate

don't be blinded with the upcoming election, the economy
should be the major issue. with all of the spending that
went on in the past few years, it will take a long time for
this burden to be off our backs, especially for wmd that just
never materialized and never will and it looks like vietnam
all over again. also there are too many people in the oval
office who are neck deep in oil. it's a shame that corporate
execs run this country, who could care less for the middle &
lower classes. and it is also important for minorities and the
young to believe that YOUR VOTE DOES COUNT and that
YOU CAN MAKE A CHANGE
