because its not speed
Its frequency, not speed. It tells you knothing more than how many waves pass a point in a second, not how fast a processor can get something done. The new chips are extremely efficent, and the best thing ive seen from Intel in years. The 2ghz Duo core beets a 3.2ghz Pentium D accross the board in every benchmark ive seen ran.

Just because a processor has a higher frequency, does not mean itll be faster, unless you using the exact same chip design. This is the same reason AMD chips can outperform Penitum 4s running over a GHz less in frequency.
