Macs are too expensive (not)

Apparently you have not bothered to price Macintoshes
lately (especially the new iBooks and G5's). Macintoshes
are very competitively priced to similar offerings from Dull,
HP, GTW (while they still exist). You cannot compare Mac's
to $199 crap boxes sold at WalMart. You cannot compare
Mac's to the $599 bait and switch boxes sold by Dull (btw -
the average price of a Dull sales is over $1600).

If you feel the Apple stores gouge you on components, then
don't buy them there. Apple stores are NOT the only place
you can buy Macs. Your post is seriously uninformed and
dripping with outdated myths and distortions.

Good for you that you can build a PC to exactly the
specifications you desire - 95% of the computer buying
public can't and don't want to do that. Now the $64,000
question - what os did you install, the security swiss
cheese produced by our favorite preditory monopolist?

By the way - how did it go when you tried building a laptop
from scratch?
