They can still offer commercial versions of any of these. Like the article notes, who is really going to be able to take the chip design and bring a product to market off it? Its just too complex and expensive of an undertaking. Just because they publish the design doesn't mean they won't still be selling the hardware...its more of a publicity thing than anything, I think.
