IBM, AMD further cut chip power consumption

Surprised Intel is still alive...: Frankly, I'm surprised Intel is even still clinging to its Pentium series, as what is HT if not an illusion? Just by emulating a dual processor, and overclocking it doesn't mean that its gonna blow the market! An AMD 64 (S754) 2.0G performs at par if not better on benchmarks with the intel p4 3.0G, is cheaper and it also consumes loads less electricity than the P4!!! Not to mention the readiness for 64bit apps...
