Wrong again

Anybody can use Firewire, anybody can develop a browser and
not use Apple's, anybody can write any software they want and
not use Apple's.

Apple's OS is based on open source technology so when they
improve it everybody gets an improvement.

I do understand them not allowing use of FairPlay DRM
technology as that would make the iPod and iTunes Music Store
open. But guess what? Microsoft does the same thing. You
can't even see streaming video on MSNBC is you don't use
Windows and you don't use IE.

Apple is a helluva lot more open than most other companies that
write software.
