Typical Microsoft

Anyone with a dictionary, look up the meaning of "contradiction".

When it comes to the Internet, the last thing Microsoft wants is people using a common standard. Ask non IT people what browser they use, and if they even know, the answer will be IE. Why? Because it comes on Windows. So web developers have to develop for IE even though it behaves wrong with many standard XHTML and CSS code. So in this case, a standard accross an industry is irrelevant. Mainly because Microsoft doesn't want people using any browser but theirs.

HOWEVER! When Apple is making inroads into a market all of a sudden it is a good idea to have a standard, any standard that is, as long as it isn't Apples! Microsoft is, and always will be, a tyrant. Anyone who supports their ideals and initiatives is an ignorant moron.

Microsoft should accept that the iPod connector works and works well. Just push for everyone to use it, that way it is a standard that is already in over 75% of the MP3 market anyway!
