If you had actually read all of my post, I agreed that coal is a FILTHY option.

Hey guess what? Nueclear reactors use nuclear materials too! ...Except in the case of nuclear reactors, the spent fuel contains highly concentrated daughter nuclides that are far nastier in terms of ionizing radiation than any of the naturally occurring ore minerals.

I'm sure the kybd in front of me contains a few atoms of uranium in its refined metals. But, you do realize there's a difference between background radiation, contamination, and in the case of chernobyl, uninhabitable, don't you?

Now, you wanna talk breeder reactors?

Nuclear is NOT the answer.
