i wonder, where the REAL performance gain is.
Chancea are good it's not the clock speed, since the pipeline will hobble the clock speed. I'd say the performance gains are in the new instruction sets and the bigger chache. The former which will not be noticed till th enext versions of some software packages. Sounds like it will get much suport form software vendors, in the case.
