What one of the manufacturers needs to do is create a tablet PC that runs on Linux. That would be funny

What exactly would a Tablet PC with Linux do? It would have no more functionality than a regular PC, making the format useless. At best, they could add mouse support for the pen, but then you're still stuck in the age of "pen computing".

MS and its partners spent years getting the Tablet OS and Office integration right, Linux has yet to spend those years of work, though I imagine they will be forced to at some point.

I get the feeling all the "experts" on Tablet PCs in this forum have no idea what a Tablet PC is, nor have they ever used one for more than a few minutes.
