- Depends on just how good the script is in Level One
-
I think the days of a completely uniformed not in any fashion
familiar with a computer are coming to a close. The systems yes
even PC system are getting easier to set-up and use.
If there is a legitimate hardware issue with the system (and one
would hope that the vast majority of problems after level 1
would prove to be so) then your supplier should be charged
back for the failures and expenses related to taking care of the
customer. For those which prove not to be a failure of the
hardware those can become a learning experience to tweek level
one service and make it better. (one would also hope that with
all the YEARS of experience at this that Dell would have this part
pretty well thought out by now)
No one and I mean NO ONE purchases any given appliance with
the thought of anything less than a good few years of trouble
free utility. If PC vendors can not provide this...well then the
consumer will go else where. I did not buy my toaster at Wal
Mart thinking it was going to last forever...but I did think and
expect that for at least a few years it would make toast. Same
for everything I purchase even the stuff on the cheap..I'm not
looking for a miracle just the function I purchased it for and only
for a few years with no issues.
