if you don't roll your own Dell is the way 2 go
We have 1700 desktops, servers and laptops (over 3600 total Dell units in six years on a three years refresh cycle) ....all Dell. I just pulled a our call history on Dell hardware failures (all types from hard drives to keyboards). Here are our totals for six years covering 3600 desktop laptops and servers

7 dead hard drives
17 monitors (Sony rebranded)
11 floppy drives
14 laptop power bricks
1 server power supply
11 laptop LCD displays
Total 47 hardware failures in a six year time frame covering over 3600 peices of Dell equipment. Personaly I think that an outstanding record. Dell also provides us with imaging service (using our images), 3 year next day on site gold support and a CD with with THE DRIVERS INCLUDED. No crap CD restore where you can't figure out what drivers are for your machines. And want new drivers type in your serial at Dell and there they are going back to 286 machines. No compnay I know of even comes close to that.
