I am sorry can you point WHERE in my OP I stated otherwise?
OP follows:
===================
They worked hard and quietly and now
they are rewarded for their toiling away long hours to compete against the behemoth. Only praises are due.

In the long run a significant competitor is good for EVERYBODY including Intel. Now AMD is big enough to start making its OWN processors and steer away from then ugly x86 dinosaur. I sure wish that AMD can take up an IA64 arch and improve it, ulike Intel which would rather stretch their ancient x86 instead of braking new grounds in processor archs.

Good show AMD and all the best.

Intel you HAVE resources like NOBODY else. You need R/D to get to the next proc. arch.

NO MORE x86 PLEASE!
