Telecom Industry Strength indicates Economic Strength

This is one of the best signs that the economy is rebounding. Telecom companies are one of the strongest indicators of economic health. Telephone systems are ubiquitous across all types of business and organizations. They must be operational 99.999% of the time. These are one of the first ?Big? ticket items replaced by organizations when cash is flowing. The industry has spawned technologies / protocols such as transistor, ISDN, T1, T3, DSL, PBX, Fiber Optics, Microwave, Cellular, Tie Lines, Private Lines, Voice Response Systems, Call Centers, Voice Mail on and on and on.

Lets hope that all the telecom firms see strong rebounds including Lucent, Mitel, Siemens, Ericcson and all the other.
