I'm sure if it became an issue and Intel nudged MS that MS would support a competing set.
Because for one, even though MS wields quite a bit of power, I don't think they've become so powerful that they aren't willing to compromise with the world's leading desktop processor maker. They DO rely on them as much as Intel relies on MS after all. And second, if Intel releases another set and Linux comes out of the gate to support it, with the way Linux has MS jumping at shadows, I'm sure MS would feel like they'd HAVE to support it to save face. - Posted by: Michael Kelly Posted on: 02/02/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
