Enough already! G5 isn't the future
The G5 can't even compete with what's available now - not to mention what's coming next from Intel or AMD. And Intel got written off before - when AMD reached the 1 ghz plateau first - I wouldn't be so quick to write them off now.

I'm an AMD fan and I build AMD systems for my personal use, but Intel (P4 extreme, or rebranded Xeon, lol) was the fastest processor available for today's applications the day the Athlon FX debuted although the newer chipset have FX winning many of those benchmarks at this point. The G5 hasn't proven anything yet except that Apple hypes with the best of them. Also, without AMD (hypertransport), the dual G5 would really be a dog - since a single Athlon FX or P4 is still faster. How many facts do you need before Steve Jobs starts looking like a used-car salesman after all of his false claims of performance superiority? Only Mac users buy into this drivel.
