Well folks competiton at work. Like Intel really ever cared. They would have rather forced you to buy an expensive "Enterprise" labeled...I repeat labeled CPU in Itanium. Just perfect for the same folks that love to fork over 100,000 plus for a big propritary nix/AS400 box and watch its depreciate not in years but days.

The reality is that they can improve on the P4 and Xeon to 64 bit, but they would rather keep that cheap and 32bit so they can front the illusion of how expensive The Itanium would should be.

Thank you AMD for lighting some fire with the Athlon64
