This one ain't new, or Dell only
My organization first saw this problem of couple of years back with some Gateway desktop systems. Since then we've seen the problem with some Dell Optiplex GX260 systems as well. And, as someone else mentioned, our experience was that that all of the capicitors which failed had an 'X' on the top. I am surprised that the problem persists - I would have expected that this bad stock would have been flushed out of the supply channels by now.
