Apple caught hell because of it, but the component supplier also
shipped to dell and IBM.

All companies are relying on their component suppliers to
deliver p to specs and when they don't people talk about how
bad that computer company is.

What counts is the company's response to the problem. If they
work hard to take care of the issue then they'll be OK. It
shouldn't be a problem for any computer company as they will
charge the costs to the supplier that went under specs.
