DSL VS CABLE
Cable speed drops seems to no longer to be that prevalent, most report considerably faster connection speeds vs. SBC Yahoo! DSL that I have. In fact, I have an early static connection relatively close the CO switch. My DSL speeds are under 500kps whereas Cable in the LA Area exceeds 1.4 mps. Adelphia is currently offering 4 months for $24 each to new subscribers. The only thing SBC DSL provides is free nationwide dialup when away from home, which Adelphia doesn't. Other cable operators offer dialup, some to only PC users at either additional cost or for free. Seriously considering leaving DSL for cable, my location offers a choice, finally.
Only wish Earthlink provided cable service here as they provide free unlimited dialup with their service.
