Threads and Processes are different entities
In the context of modern OS and processor architectures, a process can consist of one or more threads. A regular 'classic' process is a single-threaded one.

Niagara and other chips of the same nature, can run multiple threads simultaneously. ALthough they didn't mention this I believe that the threads can belong to different processes.
