Your two points are backwards
If money is spent on a more expesive locally made computer that benifits the local economy meaning more money for goods and services.

Computers will be affordable because people will be making money.

When you send the money over seas it doesn't stay in the local economy and you two points come true.

Walmart is good example on more regional scale. When Walmart comes to town they put local businesses out of business. Then the money starts funneling out of the community. Soon you have minimum wage getto where only Walmart can server the people.
