Never worked in one of those plants have you
I worked at an IBP meat processing plant one summer. Want to know the reason they have so many mexican workers? Because US and Candian workers don't want the job. It's a crap job I can tell you that and that's why they have 62% turn over rate. When I was working there they had criminals working the line that were let out early so they could work processing the meat we eat. It was like a stinking prison working there I was assulted 3 time and lucky enough to have the chain mesh stop the knife each time. The third time this happened I snapped the guys wrist. A guy across the line from got stabbed and lost 3 liters of blood and was brough back to life twice on the operating table.

You wonder why Mexicans are working those jobs, it's because they are desparate enough to work those jobs. 3 months was enough for me.

Oh yeah, those workers there don't like Unions either. A union in that place would be a huge benifit to the management more so than to the worker.
