ALT-CNTRL-DEL keys required on Microsoft phones
It was with some amusement - but little suprise - that I read recently about the Microsoft SPOT watches which spontaneously reboot themselves at little or no provacation. Apparently 3 fingers are required to reset ... how very Windows.

Meanwhile, Orange have dumped the Microsoft Windows OS version they had previously intended to use in their phones ... it seems Orange feel that Microsoft's usual substandard offerings are not yet "Ready for prime time".

Sendo, the mobile phone company who's intellectual property in this domain Microsoft stole in order to get themselves into the game, are actually doing very well.

Un-encumbered by the predatory IP thieves, Sendo have found that Linux provides a solid platform for some very feature rich hand-held devices which (unlike Windows running alternatives) don't need to be constantly rebooted.

Those much vaunted "market forces", which apparently explain Microsoft's monopoly, according to some of their biggest fans, don't seem able to help them sell their shoddy software in any domain where their existing Windows monopoly can't be leveraged. Funny, that.
