That can happen...
...when you build crap. We're a Fortune 200 Corp. and switched all of our x86 systems to HP (with the exception of a few Sun Opteron servers) in the past 2 quarters. We now buy AMD powered systems whenever we have the ability to do so.

...and we couldn't be happier with our decision.

Dell still has no concept of "Enterprise" and their support isn't. Years ago "Dell" was synonymous with "Value". Now they're just "Cheap" and have the failure rate to prove it.

I was just reading an article from TheStreet.com where they blame Intel's poor performance on Dell. Perhaps they should look further into the dwindling dominance of Intel, the superior architecture coming from AMD, and Dell's lack of an AMD option.
