No that's not their mindset. It's if we build on 300 mm wafers (like the competition is doing), we get more bang per $.

Going to 300 mm is such a huge transition that usually its cheaper to build a whole new fab that retrofit an old one. Also, if you try retrofit an existing fab already producing product then you will lose production and market share.

This is the way they've been doing it for years. There are untold billions of $ invested on how to do this, but maybe you with your "upper econ classes" know better.

I don't think so.
