- THE DISATET SURVIVAL KIT
-
I've a problem with the way the article is written. Not with the substance of the article except when it uses the words like Katrina or the monster ways that swept the Asia. I have a problem with the worlds HIGH SPEED. These words are added any time the subject of Internet service comes up. The survival kit would be needed whether the internet service is low speed or the high speed. The question of speed does not arise at all.
When the Katrina flooded the area it was doubtful anything would have prevented the washing away of anything in the path of the Katrina waters or the monster wave (Tsunami) waters. But if the water speeds were not that monstrous so as to wash away everything perhaps the survival kit would have reduced the damage.
When you talk of the damage there was an article in the mdeia about the selling of the automobiles damaged by Katrina waters. These cars have become unusable even if they have survived the dynamic force they were subjected to. People must not forget that Katrina and the monstrous wave (Tsunami) subjected the property in their path not only to Hydraulic force but also dynamic force, let alone rusting and bacteria contamination.
It is the opportunists who come forward and say that everything would satay dandy if people invest in the purchase of the survival kit.
I'd say that the best survival kit would be the abandoning of the present method of the client oriented surfing of the web in favor of the yet undeveloped method of surfing the web discussed at
http://www.newerawisp.blogspot.com/
If this method of surfing of the web was in place the damage would have been minimal because the software needed is installed in the servers which probably would be in an area outside the disaster area. Even if the servers were in disaster area the considerable cost of the client equipment involved in the netwrork would have been saved. If the alternate method of surfing the we was in place the client equipment would have been just the cellphones.
So people should not always think of the most complicated, most expensive methods of surviving that involves nanotechnology. It is a total shame that the nanotechnology does not get used in thed surfing of the web. But people of thinking of its use in the means to survive. - Posted by: fakir005@...
