I realize that this conversation is completely irrelevent to this article, but it looks as though you are right for the top engine models in VW. The standard engines do take regular fuel though.

I guess VW is actually somewhat of a good choice for the example b/c they are a company that sort of tries to straddle the fence between making inexpensive cars for the masses as performance cars for the wealthy. The PC is somewhat similar - you can put it together yourself for high quality parts and performance or you can let a company like Dell slap together some bargain basement junk for a cheap machine that just gets the job done.

I stand corrected - looks like your example was pretty good after all.
