osreinstall, this has nothing to do with the old NCs!

Schwartz is talking about smartphones (those that run WindowsCE, PalmOS, Symbian, Linux, ...), these are small multifunction computers that are small enugh to fit in the palm of your hand! He is not discussing PCs that aqre used to run CAD applications, but rather small devices that the majority in the Notrthern hemisphere and many in the Southers have and use every day! Some peole even use them as tehir primary phone (as I do, no land lines).

You appear to not understand the market in question, this is not for people who are dong number crundhing on localhost, they are not for people running can on them, they are phones! Do you have a cell phone that runs WindowsCE or Symbian or PalmOS? That is the platform that heis suggetsing will be dominant!

Because of the size of the devices, they are prime for network based applications, Web Services, and similar bsuiness uses (email, instant messaging, SMS/MMS). They are phones! No one want to use a phone to do AutoCAD (except maybe you)!

More people have mobile phones than computers, this is the market thathe is discussing as a tarhet for hosted applications, I can find you a list of some of the hosted appliactions even!
