The article is about smartphones, not thin clients (NC).
You should read it again! There is nothing about thin client systems (SunRay, VNC, RDP, xhost, NC, etc.), it is about cellular phones, popular in most of the world! No one does AutoCAD on a cellphone, they have no need to! Most of the world prefers to use cellphones, rather than a PC!

In Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, etc.), kids are more likely to know how to use a phone (SMS, MMS, email, voice) than to know how or want to use a PC! In Europe and Russia, they are more likely to have a smartphone than a PC. Even in India one is more likely to have a mobilephone than a PC. The US was never into mobility, as you appear to be into being chained to your desk and behind the times!
