Companies don't buy IT products unless it will increase
shareholder value via productivity enhancements. If Sun doesn't
offer that, why switch?
Companies already know that productivity increases promises
from Office and Windows upgrades didn't always pan out as
promised. Security issues alone ate them up.
Sun needs to offer more security, cheaper deployment, faster
time-to-competence and a leading edge innovation factor to get
what they are looking for.
If all these things will be delivered, they should be very
