- it is true that Solaris is far ahead than

linux and ms windows (ofcourse) but unfortunately quality, scalability and RAS is only in the minds of the few large companies which cannot live without it.
Let's not forget also that managing Solaris would be a problem for all the PC trained staff which are used to using a GUI to 'do' administration.
It is an unfortunate fact that convenience, lack of serious IT trainign allowed hype to almost kill quality.
